What do PLM and Tim Tebow have in common?

Believe it or not, there actually are some similarities.  Not sure if PLM is exciting?  Mike Tyson got a PLM lowdown for 10 minutes at DSCC this year, and you know what, the guy wasn’t bored.  Though, when it comes to Mr. Tebow, we have to be honest.  Put simply, it’s a catchy title, we are launching a new blog, and we are drawing you in!

But, let’s give it a shot:

  • Tim Tebow and Integware, both excited to be located in beautiful Colorado

  • Tim Tebow set many SEC records in college, Integware has a stellar record in Life Sciences PLM

  • Tim Tebow and IW are both character centric and active about volunteering in the community

  • Tim Tebow chose his college, Florida at the same time CEO, Chris Kay, took over Integware

Ok, maybe we are starting to stretch.  Let’s get to the point...

Integware and its team of experts have decided that with years of experience doing the PLM thing, we should start sharing our insight to the PLM community (PLMinsider).  Well, so Lauren Craig (aka, me/marketing) is forcing the engineers to do so, but I think they are going to enjoy it, right guys?

For those of you, who don’t know Integware, let me give you a brief background:

  1. Integware has been in the PLM space for the last 17 years, specifically for Life Sciences companies, for the past 12 years

  2. We have been the “implementer” for the largest Life Sciences Company, and the largest PLM deployment, ever.  Epic.

  3. We have a branded kegerator in the kitchen.

  4. We get what the FDA is looking for and have helped hundreds of clients pass audits with flying colors.

  5. We have tools that help you get your PLM system up and running in weeks, not months, while staying within the out-of-the-box requirements, and we aren’t exaggerating that.

  6. Our VP of Operations can be found mostly without shoes on walking the hallways.  (It’s better than his Bart Simpson t-shirt)

  7. We are people of values, who truly respect our clients’ needs and want to help more clients see the benefits of what Integware offers.

Alright, so we got the introductions out of the way.  Next, I’d like to talk about what you are going to find on this blog (including but definitely not limited to):

  • “PLM is too costly and the word gives me shivers”

  • “Top 5 things you should consider when deploying PLM (yes, there are only 5 important ones)

  • “PLM: Probably Lots of Money”

  • “BOM Management (don’t ever say that on a plane)”

  • "Non Conformance Reporting and non conforming blogging"

  • "Change is good, so lets Manage it"

  • "Quality Documentation (and quality blogging)"

Ok, you get it.  We are trying to make a lighthearted blog about PLM that attracts and brings out the real world problems and issues we have seen our clients go through, and quite frankly the messes we have had to clean up from choosing the wrong solution or vendor.  We can give you the insight to make clear, business decisions on what will provide your company with the quickest ROI, rapid speed-to-market, and most importantly, gaining user acceptance of a new technology.  PLM can transform your business in to a whole new world of the way you do business, smarter business.  We also hope you find some humor in this blog and a forum to become more educated on PLM.

I’m happy to announce the PLMinsider from Integware and our team of experts.  You would automatically assume that engineers are “dry” and don’t have a sense of humor.  Oh no, not this crowd we have here.  I’m going to have a hard time keeping them in the PG realm.

Thanks for checking us out!  Leave us a comment so we are sure to address your most pressing challenges.  Subscribe to our blog to see your questions answered.

(*NOTE: This article was written prior to the Bronco’s wooing Peyton Manning all weekend long, TBD on ‘Tebowing’ vs ‘Manning’ in the Mile High City next year).

Until next time,

Lauren Craig
