Putting your PLM on a diet?

Now that spring is here and summer is on the horizon and if you are like me you want to look your best for summer. What does that mean? Usually a diet of some sort, but what do you look for when starting a diet and how am I going to apply that to PLM?

Well let’s start with the 3 things people look for when picking out and starting a diet:

  1. The diet should be easy. Not too many rules to what you have to eat or can’t eat, easy to make meals for, easy to follow, etc
  2. It should be short lived! Who wants to be on a diet forever? That’s right, no one!
  3. It should be effective. Among wanting the diet to be easy and quick you also want it to work. Even if it’s easy and you may only be on the diet restrictions for a couple months in the end you want it to work; to help you look and feel better.

Lean PLM Manufacturing

How does this play into PLM? Integware has developed a methodology to put your PLM deployment ‘on a diet.’ It’s called iC5™ Turbo and just like picking the right diet we ask the questions based on the 3 things listed above. Is it easy, fast, and effective? Let’s find out:

  1. Is it easy? iC5™ Turbo uses a cloud based tool to perform customer setup, and a configuration governance to keep to an “out-of-the-box” method of deployment to make it easy to install.
  2. Is it fast? Because iC5™ Turbo is built with best practices settings there is a huge reduction in set up configuration, customizations and your speed to value is cut by 75%! Weeks vs months!
  3. Is it effective? It might be easier and it might install faster but is it going to work? YES. It fosters innovation to deploy a PLM system while promoting: collaboration, connectivity, control, cost effectiveness, and compliance.

Is the ‘iC5™ Turbo Diet’ right for your PLM deployment? That is up to your company to decide but if you are short on time and budget, need an streamlined and rapid approach to install a PLM system that works you may want to take a bite and check out more information about iC5 Turbo!
